The 2023 Master Plan for West Georgia Technical College assisted the College in implementing its mission, vision, and goals across the next decade and beyond. The Master Plan provided guidance for the development of all eight WGTC campuses and instructional sites, including the Adamson Square, Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Franklin, Greenville, LaGrange, and Murphy campuses. The recommendations in the Master Plan sought to embrace and enhance the unique character of each individual campus while also reinforcing a unified identity for West Georgia Technical College. This Master Plan was the result of a rigorous process that was informed by the history of the college and the region, the needs of the communities and industry partners it served, and the desired outcomes for the students that attended WGTC. The plan provided an assessment of existing facilities and programs of study; it assessed the trending economic drivers in each service area; and it proposed programmatic adjustments to course offerings to prepare students for success in their community. The plan made specific recommendations regarding the reuse of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities, informed by an analysis of utilization, need, and the physical attributes of each campus. The plan identified opportunities to create a unified and inspiring identity for the college at each campus location.
