Since opening in 1957, The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel (the ‘Georgia Center’) has become one of the largest and most successful university-based hotel/continuing education centers in the country. PRAXIS3, along with Sims Patrick Studio was selected by the Georgia Board of Regents to be the design team for the Georgia Center Improvements Project, which is currently under construction. This major renovation project is comprised of three major components: the Exterior Envelope Improvements; the Interior Hotel Rooms & Corridor Renovation (with Mechanical Improvements); and the Food Concepts Renovation (Courtyard Cafe). Each of these components are located within the structure known as the Classic Wing.
