Puritan Mill Industrial Retrofit

This proposed addition to the successful loft office and showroom complex utilizes a mass timber building system. The system gives the new office spaces a unique natural wood expression and utilizes a primary renewable material. All structural members are prefabricated and cut to exact shapes robotically, labeled and sent to the site to be assembled. The building is designed to complement the existing Puritan Mill soap factory buildings using large north-facing skylight monitors, a prominent feature of the original factory.
