Lumpkin Library

Architecture
Conceptual

PRAXIS3’s design for the Lumpkin Library for the City of Lumpkin proposes functioning as a small book lending facility and to also serve as a community center, and a training and job search center for the entire county. The library would also provide internet access to those who cannot access it at home. The building’s contemporary form would recall the town’s recent industrial and farming past and provide a new focal point for the entire region. This unrealized design was produced with the Rural Library Project for this small, under-served, majority-minority South Georgia community.
