The new Guaranty Bank headquarters in Springfield, Missouri is ushering in a new era of banking experience for customers and employees alike. The new headquarters facility occupies three floors of the latest building within the mixed-use development. Moving the headquarters and 60 employees to this new location was no small task that took 18 months of developing the project, which included a company re-brand. As the anchor tenant in the building, Guaranty Bank’s second-floor reception desk showcases the thoughtful design that ties eagle feathers to bold graphic lines and the bank’s slogan prominently displayed as an initial greeting. All of the common spaces, like conference rooms and group seating areas, are named after Springfield parks. Employees got to assist in picking the names for each area, which helps the space feel like it’s part of Springfield community. Collaboration areas are also available for client meetings or serve as spaces for associates who need to step away from their desks to work. Conference rooms are where the focus on flexibility is most evident. The tables can be adjusted to any arrangement needed, and monitors equipped for video conferencing allow team members at different locations to participate without missing a beat. PRAXIS3 integrated branding approach comes into play on all floors where the carpet colors, wall graphics, and upholstery all support the re-branded look of the bank. All the offices and open workstations on the upper floors are designed similarly to allow the spaces to meet every need, including having adjustable height desks at all locations. The ground floor features a new retail branch of the future for Guaranty Bank. When customers first walk into the bank, they are greeted by a Universal Banker, a title incorporating job duties beyond that of a standard teller to a concierge-type of service. The Universal Bankers can help with any problem, solving issues quickly at the front desk or taking the conversation to private offices. The lack of a traditional teller line is strategic as this allows shoulder-to-shoulder dialogue to occur between customer and employee. A community table is also integrated into the branch. The meeting space is a benefit for the Springfield community; even if they don’t have banking business, community members can come here to work, recharge and sip coffee until their next meeting. The photos on the wall behind the refreshments were specially chosen to show Guaranty Bank’s 104-year history as an integral part of the community.Guaranty Bank wanted this design solution to be a great place for generations of employees to work and be engaging. PRAXIS3 provided a multi-disciplinary solution that accommodates everyone with the design focused on balancing open and collaborative spaces with individual spaces. Customers and employees are at the forefront, and the branded environment supports the bank’s business case. PRAXIS3 was deliberate about providing an experience and brand engagement that enhances Guaranty Bank’s service and performance.
