Georgia Tech Sideways Café

Architecture
Interior Design

Sideways Café is a tenant build out space situated at the hinge point between two newly renovated higher education buildings. The scope included close coordination of equipment selections, layout, and MEP connections. We effectively had two clients, the tenant and the college, which translates into two branding schemes, Blue Donkey Coffee, and the café as a whole, Sideways. PRAXIS3 used the dualities as generators for the design, which is functionally pragmatic at its core. The finishes reflect a meticulously handcrafted marriage of aesthetic languages established both from the host buildings and the tenant’s branding, ultimately culminating in a design greater than the sum of its parts.
