The 24,000 SF renovation of Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong campus’s PAC Student Success Center Renovation creates a unified Student Success Center facility with dedicated and flexible-use spaces for many different academic departments. The project includes replacement of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as the creation of a new, more pronounced entrance to the building that addresses the current and future student circulation routes by foot and vehicle. Programmatically the building houses individual, small group, and larger group meeting and work spaces associated with advising, student success, and testing areas that concentrate on student development and growth. Special attention is given to taking advantage of the existing building elements, like a double height gym space, with focused interventions that improve upon the current building in an economical and efficient way.
