Bear State Bank is a new institution with an uncompromising commitment to community banking. Over 48 branches strong, Bear State Bank has locations in Oklahoma, Missouri and a wide presence across Arkansas. Praxis3’s objective was to identify ways in which a new prototypical design or a different type of bank branch could respond to customers’ evolving relationship and interaction with their community bank. Conway, Arkansas was a new market in which Bear State wanted to open and offer their services. They were able to secure the location of an abandoned bank and allowed Praxis3 to begin the transformation. This renovation focused on making a statement with the architecture that catches one’s eye while driving by, as well as an interior environment that would drive new membership. The interior architecture gives members multiple settings and ways to interact with Bear State Bank. Some of these features include nice lounge chairs which allow members access their accounts via iPad or one can even connect to the web over at the Tech Bar. This allows all members to control their banking experience while Bear State continues to strengthen their relationship with their membership.
